680 mg calcium carbonate and 80 mg magnesium carbonate
MECHANISM OF ACTION
GastroGuard acts locally, by neutralising the gastric acid in the stomach, not depending on the systemic absorption.
Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate react with the gastric acid in the stomach, developing water and soluble mineral salts as products.
GastroGuard tablets reduce the excess gastric acid and enable fast relief of the burning sensation behind the chest (heartburn) and the bloating.
GastoGuard chewable tablets are used for relieving gastric disorders associated with:
- indigestion, including pregnancy related indigestion;
- excessive consumption of food and beverages;
- gastritis, ulcer disease, esophageal reflux;
- liver or gall bladder dysfunction.
GastroGuard tablets are taken perorally, by chewing or sucking.
Adults and children over 12 years of age:
One or two tablets are chewed or sucked usually one hour after the main meals or before sleep, or whenever the symptoms occur.
